20K SOCK DAY EMPOWERS COMMUNITIES ACROSS CANADA TO COLLECT NEW, UNUSED SOCKS & DONATE THEM TO LOCAL SHELTERS TO HELP THE OVER 200,000 CANADIANS WHO EXPERIENCE HOMELESSNESS EVERY YEAR.

Not sure where to donate the socks you collected? Here are some ideas for places you could donate to:

  1. Homeless shelters

  2. Warming centres

  3. Women’s shelters

  4. Youth centres

  5. Foodbanks (some foodbanks also accept clothing donations.)

  6. Churches (some churches run food and/or clothing programs and may accept donations.)

  7. Outreach centres

  8. Community outreach programs (some run food and/or clothing programs.)

We recommend contacting places before donating to ensure they are accepting donations at that time.

If you need help finding a place in your area, email us at 20ksockday@gmail.com, and we will do our best to assist you. Please include your city and province.
